Facial Hijama® Course
The Facial Hijama® Course is the world's first structured, accredited Facial Hijama training programme — created by Nasima Nahar in 2009 and taught exclusively at Nasima Nahar Cupping Academy in East London. Nasima Nahar is the originator of Facial Hijama: she invented, named, and developed the technique, and this is the only accredited Facial Hijama course available anywhere in the UK or internationally. This is not a body Hijama course adapted for the face. It is a discipline built from the ground up around the specific anatomy of facial tissue — the thinner skin, the more superficial vasculature, the lymphatic drainage pathways of the face and neck, the musculature of facial expression, and the contraindications that are specific to facial treatment. The course covers 12 detailed theory modules with end-of-unit theory tests, completed before the practical day. On the practical day — taught in a maximum group of 6 students — you will watch a live demonstration by Nasima Nahar and then practise the full NN Facial Hijama® technique on real clients under her direct supervision. You will study facial anatomy and physiology in the depth required to make safe, informed treatment decisions: bone structure, musculature, skin layers, lymphatic drainage pathways, vascular anatomy, and contraindications specific to the face. You will learn professional client consultation for facial treatments, including printable consultation forms, body maps, and treatment plan templates — all included. You will complete 36–50 supervised case studies with detailed written feedback from Nasima Nahar on every submission, supported by 3–5 months of personal one-to-one mentorship. Business setup support is included: marketing, Instagram, TikTok, website design, booking systems, leaflets, and Canva support. CMA & IPHM accredited. Highly recommended by doctors.

Facial anatomy & physiology in depth — bone structure of the face and skull, facial musculature (muscles of expression and mastication), skin layers (epidermis, dermis, hypodermis) with specific attention to the variation in skin thickness across facial zones, superficial vascular anatomy of the face, lymphatic drainage pathways of the face and neck, and the anatomical basis for each treatment point
Skin anatomy and skin conditions — skin types, skin conditions relevant to Facial Hijama (acne, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, sensitivity, ageing), how each condition affects treatment decisions, and which conditions are contraindications
Health and safety, infection control, and sterilisation protocols — single-use equipment requirements, PPE, sharps disposal, clinical waste management, pre-treatment skin preparation, and the specific infection control considerations for facial treatment
The NN Facial Hijama® method — the complete original technique developed by Nasima Nahar: cup selection and sizing for different facial zones, suction calibration appropriate for facial skin, the superficial technique adapted for facial anatomy (not body blades), treatment sequence and point protocols specific to facial lymphatic drainage and skin health
